TEDOM's gas cogeneration technology effectively utilizes heat generated at the same time as power generation. We provide next-generation energy systems that maximize energy efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions.
TEDOM was established in 1991 in the Czech Republic and is a manufacturer with a track record of manufacturing gas cogeneration units for over 20 years. TEDOM's cogeneration unit is a system that simultaneously generates electricity and heat from vaporized fuels such as natural gas (LNG) and biogas, and achieves high energy efficiency.
TEDOM is focusing on reducing environmental impact, and in particular, it provides equipment that operates using biogas made from biomass as fuel. Currently, we have a wide lineup that supports outputs from 7 kW to the 10 mW level for large-scale ones.
TEDOM's CHP units (Combined Heat and Power: Combined Heat and Power) can be utilized in hot water supply, steam, and air conditioning systems while generating electricity, so they achieve extremely high energy efficiency compared to conventional power generation systems. This makes it possible to drastically reduce fuel usage and CO2 emissions.
Up to now, more than 10,000 TEDOM CHP units have been in operation worldwide, and they have been widely adopted not only in Europe but also in countries around the world. We have direct offices in 6 countries, including the Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Kazakhstan, and have built a global service network with partners around the world.
In addition to developing and manufacturing high-quality in-house engines, we also provide CHP units using engines from famous manufacturers such as MWM, Liebherr, Kubota, and MAN. We have obtained ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, and we carry out strict quality control and environmentally friendly production.
Furthermore, TEDOM became a wholly owned subsidiary of Yanmar Holdings Co., Ltd. in 2024/11, and the company's high product strength is the background behind the acquisition of shares of Yanmar, a major industry company.
TEDOM's CHP units achieve an overall efficiency of over 95%. Efficiency can also exceed 100% by using a water-cooled generator and using an additional condensing heat exchanger. This can reduce fuel usage by up to 70%.
Due to the low CO2 emission characteristics of natural gas and the high efficiency of cogeneration technology, CO2 emissions are drastically reduced compared to conventional power generation methods. It is also compatible with renewable energy sources such as biogas, sewage gas, landfill gas, and mine gas, contributing to sustainable energy production.
TEDOM's CHP units cover a wide range of outputs, from the small 20-50 kW micro series to the medium 80-200 kW CentO, 260-530 kW Flexi, and the large 600-4500 kW Quanto series. We can meet the needs of all facility sizes.
TEDOM has a service network spread all over the world, with dozens of service centers and hundreds of professional technicians. Almost all replacement parts are stocked in the central warehouse, and the operation status of CHP equipment is constantly monitored by a remote monitoring system 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In the event of a breakdown, quick response is possible.
